Wix is an excellent choice for many businesses and the wrong tool for some. We build on several platforms, so our advice isn't tied to selling you Wix.
Wix is a great fit when
- You need a marketing site, portfolio, service business site or content hub that your team can update without a developer.
- You'd rather not deal with hosting, security patches or plugin updates. Wix runs the infrastructure for you.
- You want a store, bookings, events, memberships and a blog in one dashboard instead of a stack of separate plugins.
- You sell a small to mid-size product catalog alongside strong brand content.
- You need custom features that live inside a website, such as forms, calculators, client areas and integrations. Velo handles these well.
Another platform may suit you better when
- You're building a software product. A SaaS app, marketplace or complex internal tool belongs in code. See our Next.js development services.
- You need to own and move your codebase. Wix sites run only on Wix. You can export CMS data, but not the site itself. If portability matters, a coded build is safer, or Wix Headless gives you a front end you own while Wix runs the backend.

Canada Medical Notes and US Medical Notes: AI chatbots in Velo Two online medical-documentation services on Wix, where patients request a note, a licensed provider reviews it and the note arrives by email the same day. We built custom AI chatbots for both sites using Velo and custom elements.

How much do Wix development services cost?
Wix development projects with us start from $500. That covers a focused build or a well-defined task. Most complete business websites cost more, depending on what they need to do.
What drives the price:
- Number of unique page layouts. Ten pages built from three layouts cost less than ten one-off designs.
- Design depth. A reworked template, a custom design, or a full Figma design system.
- Business features. Stores, bookings, member areas and multilingual content each add setup and testing time.
- Custom code and integrations. Velo features and third-party connections are scoped one by one.
- Content. Whether you supply final copy and images, or need help preparing them.
Your Wix premium or Wix Studio plan is paid to Wix and is separate from our fee.

Should I hire a Wix expert or build my site myself?
Build it yourself if you need a simple site and have the time; Wix's templates make that realistic. Hire a Wix expert when the site must generate leads or sales, needs custom features or integrations, has to work perfectly on every screen, or when your time is worth more than the project fee.
Is Wix good enough for a professional business website?
Yes, for most service businesses, local companies, consultancies, creatives and small to mid-size stores. Wix handles hosting and security, while Wix Studio and Velo cover advanced design and custom features. It's less suited to software products or very large stores, and we'll tell you on the first call if another platform fits better.
Should I use Wix Studio or the Wix Classic Editor?
Choose Wix Studio for most new professional builds: it gives precise responsive control, custom CSS, reusable design assets and team collaboration. The Classic Editor still works well for simple sites one owner edits. An existing Classic site can move to Studio, but the design has to be rebuilt rather than converted automatically.
How long does it take to build a Wix website?
A typical 5–10 page business site takes 2–4 weeks from kickoff to launch. Online stores, booking systems and custom Velo features add time. Your proposal includes a week-by-week timeline. The biggest variable is usually how quickly content and feedback come back, so we agree on review dates up front.
Can I edit my Wix site myself after launch?
Yes. We build every site so your team can update text, images, blog posts, products and CMS items without touching the layout. Each project ends with a live training session, and on Wix Studio we can set roles so content editors can't accidentally change the design.
Do you offer white-label Wix development for agencies?
