A custom Wix booking system is an online scheduling and payment flow on your Wix site, set up around how your business actually takes bookings. We start with the Wix Bookings app for appointments, classes and courses, then add Velo code and custom pages for what it can't handle alone: rentals, approvals, special pricing, integrations and admin dashboards.
Most projects combine native Wix Bookings settings with a layer of custom work.
Services, staff, working hours, buffer times, locations, cancellation policies and payment settings, configured correctly from day one. For many businesses, a well-configured Bookings app with branded pages is the whole project.
When Wix appointment booking needs more than "pick a time," we use Velo to replace the default Service and Booking Calendar pages with your own: guided service selection, intake questions, eligibility checks or "request to book" approvals.
Group classes with capacity limits, multi-session courses, and prepaid packages or memberships through Wix Pricing Plans, so regulars buy ten sessions once instead of paying at every visit.
Standard Wix Bookings appointments can't span multiple days (Wix's workaround caps a custom duration at 99 hours), and Wix's newer Rentals app currently runs only on Wix Harmony sites, which don't allow custom code. For a Wix rental booking site on Wix Studio, we build date-range availability, minimum stays and per-day pricing for rooms, equipment or venues with Bookings resources, the Wix CMS and Velo.
Wix Bookings can take a deposit at booking and collect the balance later. When pricing depends on group size, peak hours, add-ons or seasonal rates, we implement it with Wix's Bookings service plugins, packaged as a private app installed only on your site.
Email and SMS reminders cut no-shows; follow-ups ask for a review or prompt the next booking. We use Wix Automations, plus Velo backend events for custom steps like creating a CRM deal when a booking is confirmed.
Bookings that need a specific person and a specific room at once, staff across several locations, or equipment that must also be free. Staff can sync personal Google Calendars so outside commitments block their availability.
Google Calendar sync is built in. Beyond that, Wix Velo development connects bookings to HubSpot or another CRM, Google Sheets, accounting tools, or Zapier and Make.

Yes. Wix Bookings covers appointments, classes and courses out of the box, and Velo lets developers build custom booking pages, rules and integrations on top. The main gaps — multi-day appointments and unusual pricing — can both be solved with custom code on a Wix Studio or Wix Editor site.
Yes. Wix Bookings lets you charge a deposit when the client books and collect the rest later, in person or online, on a Wix premium plan that accepts payments. If deposit amounts need to change by date, group size or customer type, we add custom pricing logic on top.

Yes. Your booking calendar can sync with Google Calendar, and staff members can connect their personal calendars so outside events block their booking availability. For other calendar systems, we can build a sync with Velo as long as the provider offers an API.

Yes. Booking forms are built with Wix Forms, so you can add your own fields and questions. For deeper changes, Velo lets us replace Wix's default Service page and Booking Calendar page with fully custom versions that still use Wix Bookings for availability and payments.
Not with Velo. Wix Harmony, Wix's AI-assisted editor, doesn't support site code, so page-level booking logic needs a Wix Studio or Wix Editor site. Some backend rules can ship as a private app, but for a full custom flow we recommend Wix Studio — and we can migrate your existing site if needed.
Usually, yes. Client contacts import into Wix from a CSV file, and upcoming appointments can be recreated in Wix Bookings — by hand for small volumes or through the Bookings API for larger ones. Past booking history is harder to bring across, so we agree on what moves before we quote.
