No-Code Development Agency for Websites, Apps and MVPs

Wix Engine is a no-code development agency that picks the platform to fit your project, not the other way around. We build marketing sites, online stores, web apps and MVPs on Wix Studio, Webflow, Bubble, Framer, Squarespace and Shopify, and add custom code only where it earns its place.

What is a no-code development agency?

A no-code development agency builds websites and apps on visual platforms such as Wix Studio, Webflow, Bubble and Framer instead of hand-coding everything. You get a professional result faster and for less than a fully custom build, and your own team can update content afterwards without calling a developer for every change.

No-code app development, websites and stores

Each project lands on the platform that suits it. Here's what we build where.

Wix Studio websites (our flagship)

Wix is where we started in 2014, and we're a Wix Legend Partner, the program's top tier. Sites that need bookings, a store, member logins or custom Velo code usually belong here. See our Wix development services.

Webflow marketing sites

For B2B and SaaS teams that publish often and care about design precision. We work from your Figma files or design from scratch, and structure the CMS so content stays organized as the site grows. Details on our Webflow development agency page.

Bubble web apps and MVPs

When the project is a product, with user accounts, a database, payments and multi-step workflows, Bubble lets us deliver a working app rather than a prototype. Read how our Bubble app development process works.

Framer launch sites

Startup homepages, product launches and portfolios where visual polish and motion carry the message. Designers can keep editing in Framer after launch. More on Framer website development.

Squarespace sites for small businesses

Clean, easy-to-run sites for service businesses, creatives and restaurants, with Acuity Scheduling or a small shop when you need one. We customize templates with CSS and code so yours doesn't look like the demo. See our Squarespace web design service.

Shopify stores

If selling products is the business, Shopify is usually the right base. Our Shopify development team handles store setup, theme customization and app configuration.

Automations between your tools

Zapier, Make and n8n workflows that move leads, orders and records between your site, CRM, inbox and spreadsheets, with AI steps where they help, such as sorting enquiries or drafting replies. See our AI automation services.

Platform migrations and ongoing support

Moving from WordPress, Squarespace or an old template site? We inventory every URL, move the content and set 301 redirects so old links land on the right new pages. After launch, monthly retainers cover new pages, updates and fixes.

Which no-code platform is right for you?

There's no single best builder. Each one is excellent at certain jobs and awkward at others. This is our honest read after more than 10 years of building on visual platforms.

Platform Best for Strengths Limits
Wix Studio Business sites with bookings, stores, events or member areas; agencies running many client sites Built-in business apps, Velo for custom code, responsive design with CSS control, hosting included Code can't be exported; heavy app use needs care to keep pages fast; data-heavy apps fit Bubble or custom code better
Webflow B2B and SaaS marketing sites, content-heavy sites, design-led brands Precise layout control, flexible CMS with reference fields, GSAP-powered interactions, native localization Steeper learning curve for editors; e-commerce suits smaller catalogs; CMS limits depend on plan
Framer Launch sites, portfolios, campaign pages Fastest design-to-live workflow, strong animation tools, designer-friendly editing No native e-commerce; CMS less suited to large or relational content; little backend logic
Bubble MVPs, SaaS, marketplaces, internal tools, native mobile apps Database, logic, user accounts and hosting in one; API Connector; large plugin library Workload-unit pricing needs monitoring; no code export; weak fit for SEO-led content sites
Squarespace Small service businesses, creatives, restaurants, simple stores Polished templates, easy editing, all-in-one subscription, Acuity Scheduling Limited structural customization; code injection needs the Core plan or higher; large stores outgrow it
Shopify Online stores of any size Checkout, payments, inventory, point of sale, huge app ecosystem Page building weaker than site builders; app subscriptions add up; deeper checkout customization needs Shopify Plus
  • Quick picks

    • Bookings, a store and member logins on one site: Wix Studio.
    • A marketing site your team updates every week: Webflow.
    • A launch site that has to look exceptional, soon: Framer.
    • A product with users, data and payments: Bubble.
    • A simple site for a local business on a modest budget: Squarespace or Wix.
    • Selling products is the main goal: Shopify.

Platforms also combine well. A common startup setup is a Webflow or Framer marketing site on the main domain, with a Bubble app on a subdomain such as app.yourcompany.com.

Low-code development services: code where it counts

No-code rarely means zero code. Every serious platform has a way to extend it, and knowing when to reach for it is a big part of the job.

We add code only when native features can't meet a requirement, and we document every custom piece for whoever maintains the site next.

  • Wix: Velo (JavaScript) for backend logic, database behavior and API connections.
  • Webflow: custom code embeds, the Webflow API, and Webflow Cloud for running app code alongside your site.
  • Framer: React code components and overrides for custom interactive elements.
  • Bubble: the API Connector, plus custom plugins written in JavaScript.
  • Squarespace: custom CSS, code blocks and code injection.
  • Shopify: Liquid theme code and app extensions.

How we approach a no-code MVP

A no-code MVP is the smallest version of your product that real users can sign up for and, ideally, pay for. The point is to learn whether anyone wants it, and which features they use, without spending your runway on an engineering team.

We focus on:

  • One core workflow, done well, instead of ten half-finished features.
  • A data structure that can grow, so adding features later doesn't mean starting over.
  • Analytics from launch day, so decisions come from usage rather than guesses.
  • A clear exit plan that maps which parts would move to custom code if the product takes off.

Bubble is usually our first choice for the app itself, with Webflow or Framer for the marketing site in front of it.

When no-code isn't enough

We'd rather tell you on the first call than halfway through a build. Custom code is usually the better choice when:

  • Your product runs complex logic over large datasets, needs high-volume real-time features, or would burn through a platform's usage limits.
  • You must own and host your source code for investors, an acquirer or a security review.
  • Platform fees at your scale would cost more than engineering time.
  • Core features depend on things no builder supports well, such as offline-first mobile apps or custom media processing.

In those cases our web development services team builds in Next.js, React and Node.js. Custom web development starts from $3,000, and custom SaaS products start from $10,000 for an MVP. Many teams take the middle path: launch on no-code, prove demand, then rebuild only the parts that need it.

Advice about your project, not our favorite tool

Plenty of agencies build on one platform and bend every project to fit it. We work across six, so the recommendation you get on our call is based on what you need to build.

Wix Legend Partner with 2,000+ projects

We reached Legend, the highest Wix Partner tier, in 2021 after our 1,000th project. We've since passed 2,000 projects for clients in 15+ countries, which takes real delivery discipline on visual platforms.

Developers who can go past the builder

Our developers also write JavaScript, React and Node.js every day. That's why we can extend any of these platforms with code, and why we spot early when a project is about to outgrow one.

Design done in-house

Design work is led by Salman, our Senior Designer. Your pages and screens are designed and approved in Figma before anyone starts building.

Quick answers, public reviews

How much does no-code development cost?

Starts from
$500

Webflow and no-code projects start from $500, the same starting point as our Wix builds. That covers focused work, such as a landing page or a small site built from finished designs. Full marketing sites, stores and apps cost more, and we quote them after a short call.

Project Starts from
Wix, Webflow or Framer website $500
Squarespace website $400
Online store (Shopify or Wix Stores) $800 simple · $5,000 complex
Bubble app or MVP $1,500
Automation workflows Quoted after a call

What moves the price:

  • Unique templates or screens , rather than total page count.
  • CMS or database complexity collections, relationships and user roles.
  • Integrations CRMs, payments, booking tools and APIs.
  • Design building from your Figma file costs less than designing from scratch.
  • Content migration the number of pages, posts and products to move.

Platform subscriptions are billed by the platform, not by us, and we'll tell you which plan you need before you commit. Work with us on a fixed-price project, a monthly retainer or hourly at $45/hour (minimum 40-hour block). Send your requirements and you'll have an exact estimate within 48 hours.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does a no-code development agency do?

A no-code development agency plans, designs and builds websites and apps on visual platforms like Wix Studio, Webflow, Bubble and Framer. A good one also advises on which platform fits, sets up integrations, adds custom code where needed and trains your team to run the result. You're paying for platform judgment and build quality, not drag-and-drop time.

Is no-code good enough for a real business?

Yes, for most websites and many apps. Plenty of established companies run their marketing sites on Webflow or Wix and early products on Bubble. The trade-offs are platform fees, usage limits and less control over hosting and code. We'll tell you plainly if your project is likely to hit those limits in the next couple of years.

How much does no-code app development cost?

Small no-code projects with us start from $500, but a full app or MVP costs more because of the database design, user roles and workflows involved: Bubble apps and MVPs start from $1,500. Platform subscriptions are extra and paid to the platform. You'll get an exact estimate within 48 hours of sharing your requirements.

Which is better, Wix Studio or Webflow?

Neither wins everywhere. Wix Studio is stronger when you need built-in business features like bookings, stores, events and member areas, plus custom code through Velo. Webflow is stronger for content-heavy marketing sites that need precise design control and a highly structured CMS. We build on both, so we recommend based on your requirements.

Can a no-code MVP scale, or will I have to rebuild?

A well-built no-code MVP can carry you through early traction and often well beyond. Scaling problems usually come from a poor data structure or inefficient workflows rather than the platform itself. If you do outgrow it, a staged migration (backend first, then front end) avoids a risky all-at-once rebuild.

What's the difference between no-code and low-code?

No-code means building entirely with visual tools. Low-code means building visually but adding custom code for the parts the tools can't handle, such as Velo on Wix, React code components in Framer or JavaScript plugins in Bubble. Most professional projects are low-code in practice, even when most of the work happens in the editor.

Do I own my no-code website or app?

You own your content, data, designs and domain. The platform hosts the site, and most don't let you export working code: Wix, Framer and Bubble don't, while Webflow can export static HTML and CSS without CMS functionality. We set everything up in accounts registered to you, so you control access and billing from day one.

Will a no-code website rank on Google?

It can. Wix Studio, Webflow, Framer and Squarespace all handle technical basics like clean URLs, sitemaps, editable metadata and mobile-friendly layouts. Rankings depend on content, site structure, speed and links, which is where setup quality matters. We configure SEO before launch, but no honest agency can guarantee positions.
