Wix Engine is a digital agency that builds websites, web apps, SaaS products and AI solutions for businesses in 15+ countries. We started in 2014 with one developer and one platform. We still build like that developer is checking every line.
Wix Engine is a web design and development agency founded in 2014 by Usama Mehmood. Today the company is led by Sohaib Mehmood (Owner & CEO) and Usama Mehmood (Co-owner & CEO). We're a Wix Legend Partner — the highest tier in the Wix Partner Program — and our team of 20 designers, developers and marketers has delivered 2,000+ projects on Wix Studio, Next.js, WordPress, Webflow, Shopify and more.
Wix Engine began as a solo Wix development practice. Usama Mehmood built 50 websites in the first year. One of the first big jobs set the tone: a full code compiler, built for a client's online coding platform and embedded right in their website. From the start, we took on the projects other web studios turned down.
By 2018 we'd delivered 500 projects and grown to a team of eight. We added in-house design, custom code and e-commerce, so clients could get the whole site from one team.
We passed 1,000 projects and earned Wix Legend Partner status. Around the same time we expanded into custom development with React, Next.js and .NET. Some clients needed more flexibility than a site builder gives: faster pages, high-end features and systems that are easy to run day to day. Faster, easier sites sell more, so we built the skills to deliver them.
We passed 2,000 projects delivered across 15+ countries. Today our work spans Wix and no-code platforms, custom web and SaaS development, AI chatbots and automation, and digital marketing.
Our focus now: AI solutions like chatbots, agents and automation, Wix Headless builds that pair Wix's backend with a custom front end, and new markets for our clients.
