Symphony by Wix is a standalone AI agent platform for solo operators and small businesses of up to 10 people. A central agent called Maestro watches what's happening across your business, decides what needs attention and hands the work to specialist agents for outreach, marketing, scheduling, research, finance and design, while you approve the actions that matter. It launched on August 11, 2026, has a free plan, and works whether or not your website runs on Wix.
Key takeaways
- Maestro coordinates a team of specialist agents, a built-in quality-review agent checks their work, and you get a daily "morning meeting" summary.
- Six core agents ship at launch, and you can create and train your own custom agents on your tone, rules and business logic.
- Plans run from free to $80 a month at the time of writing (October 2026). Credits don't roll over, and agents pause when credits run out.
- You need a Wix account, but not a Wix website.
- It's built for small teams. Complex systems, your own infrastructure or strict compliance usually call for a custom AI agent instead.
What is Symphony by Wix?
Wix announced Symphony on August 11, 2026 and began rolling it out the same day. According to the Wix press release, it's a standalone multi-agent system that learns how each business runs and builds a team of specialized agents around it. "We built Symphony to be the go-to AI agent orchestrator for SMBs," said Ronny Elkayam, COO of Wix.
"Standalone" is the important word. Symphony is a separate product from the Wix website editors, with its own apps on iOS, Android and desktop or web at symphony.wix.com, and its own marketing page.
How Symphony works: Maestro and the specialist agents
Symphony is organized like a small team with a manager.
Maestro, the central agent
The Wix Maestro agent monitors activity across your business, decides what needs attention and assigns the right specialist agent to each job. You also talk to Maestro to set things up, including connecting your tools.
Specialist agents
Each specialist agent covers one area of work, such as scheduling or finance. Maestro routes tasks to them rather than one general assistant trying to do everything.
The quality-review agent
A built-in quality-review agent checks the specialists' work before you see it. It's a second pass, not a guarantee, so you still review what matters.
The daily morning meeting
Each day, Symphony gives you a "morning meeting" summary: work that was completed, items that need your attention and new opportunities it spotted.
Approvals and team roles
Agents work only inside workflows you've approved, and they flag key actions for your approval in the Symphony app before carrying them out. If you have staff, team members get roles and permissions on shared projects.
The six core agents (and custom agents)
These are the Wix Symphony AI agents available at launch. Wix names the agents; the jobs in the right-hand column are our own examples of the kind of work each one suits, not an official feature list.
| Agent | Example jobs (illustrative) |
|---|---|
| Outreach | Drafting follow-up emails to recent inquiries, reminding past customers about a service |
| Marketing | Drafting social posts or a newsletter from your latest news, suggesting a seasonal promotion |
| Scheduling | Proposing meeting times, keeping your calendar organized around existing commitments |
| Research | Summarizing competitors' public offers, gathering background on a prospect before a call |
| Finance | Summarizing recent payments, flagging items that look overdue for your review |
| Design | Producing simple visuals for a post, promotion or announcement |
Beyond these, you can create and train custom agents on your tone, rules and business logic. Wix's FAQ says there's no limit on the number of agents, and Wix's small business guide to Symphony says you can also bring in third-party agents.
A custom agent is only as good as its instructions. Spell out the rules you'd give a new hire: which customers get which message, what it must never promise, and when it should stop and ask.
What Symphony connects to
Symphony's product page names calendar, inbox, CRM, payments, Slack, Salesforce and Monday as integrations, and its FAQ also mentions Shopify and Zendesk. The pricing page lists email, calendar, Slack, Notion and CRMs, refers to "1000s of integrations," and notes that higher tiers allow more connections.
You connect tools by chatting with Maestro. If you sign in to a business that runs on Wix, Symphony can see that business's sites and back office.
Before connecting anything, decide what each agent actually needs. An agent that drafts social posts doesn't need your inbox.
Agent payments with Stripe Link
On October 15, 2026, Wix added Stripe Link's "Wallet for Agents" so Symphony agents can make purchases for you. The safeguards Wix describes:
- You approve each purchase via WhatsApp or SMS, within a 10-minute window.
- Agents never see your card details.
- The card is capped at the amount you approved.
At launch this works only with US-based Link accounts and in US dollars. If you're outside the US, plan on agents preparing purchases and a person completing them.
Symphony by Wix pricing
Here are the official plans at the time of writing (October 2026). Prices change, so check the Symphony pricing page for today's numbers.
| Plan | Monthly price | Credits | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 500 monthly + 100 daily | No card required |
| Basic | $16 | 2,000 | |
| Pro | $40 | 5,000 | |
| Max | $80 | "Maximum usage" | Priority support |
A few details matter more than the headline price:
- Yearly billing saves 20%, and tax is added on top.
- Credits don't roll over. Unused credits from one month are gone the next.
- Agents pause when credits run out. If a scheduling or outreach agent handles time-sensitive work, running dry mid-month means that work stops until credits renew or you upgrade.
- A free website plan is included. Every plan includes one year of a free Wix Light Premium plan if you build a website.
Wix hasn't published how many credits each type of action uses, so the practical approach is to start on the free or Basic plan, watch your usage for two to four weeks, and then pick the tier that covers a normal month with some headroom.
Do you need a Wix website to use Symphony?
No. Symphony works for businesses on Wix, on another platform, or with no website at all. You do need a Wix account to sign in. If you already run a Wix site, connecting that business gives Symphony access to the site and its back office, which is where Wix-based businesses get the most out of it. If you want a site to go with it, our Wix development team builds those.
Who Symphony is for, and when a custom AI agent fits better
Symphony is built for solo operators and businesses of up to 10 people. That's the right audience for ready-made AI agents for small business: owners who want help with outreach, content, scheduling and admin, already use mainstream tools, and would rather pay a monthly subscription than fund a development project.
A custom AI agent is usually the better choice when:
- Your systems are complex. You depend on a custom database, an industry-specific platform or internal software with no standard integration.
- Your data has to stay on your own infrastructure, or the agent must run inside your own cloud account.
- You have strict compliance requirements, such as regulated health or financial data, detailed audit trails or contractual limits on where data goes.
- You need precise control over which model is used, how every step is tested and how the agent behaves when something fails.
There's also a middle path. If the work follows the same steps every time, a workflow built with AI automation in n8n, Make or Zapier is often cheaper and more predictable than any agent; our list of AI automation ideas for small businesses shows what that looks like. And if you want a customer-facing assistant on your site, our guide to AI chatbot costs covers the options.
Getting started: a checklist
- Pick two or three jobs first. Choose repetitive work you'd hand to an assistant, such as follow-up emails, appointment scheduling or a weekly content draft.
- Create or confirm your Wix account, and sign in with the business you want Symphony to see.
- Start on the free plan to learn how Maestro works before paying.
- Connect only the tools those jobs need, by chatting with Maestro.
- Write down your rules: tone of voice, what agents may and may not say, prices and policies they must quote exactly.
- Set approvals for anything external, such as messages to customers, purchases and changes to records.
- Read the morning meeting every day for the first few weeks and correct anything that's off.
- Review credit usage after a month, then choose a plan.
- Add custom agents and team members once the first jobs run reliably.
Risks and good practice
Symphony puts sensible controls in place, but how you configure it decides how safe it is.
- Keep approvals on. Leave customer-facing messages, purchases and record changes behind approval until you've watched an agent get them right many times.
- Give the least access that works. Connect tools per job, and give team members only the roles they need on shared projects.
- Watch your credits. Because agents pause when credits run out, check usage regularly, especially before a busy period.
- Review outputs. The quality-review agent helps, but AI can still state something wrong with confidence. Check facts, prices and promises before anything reaches a customer.
- Protect customer data. Know what data each connected tool exposes, and make sure your privacy notice covers how you use AI tools.

FAQ
Is Symphony by Wix free?
There's a free plan with 500 monthly credits plus 100 daily credits, and it doesn't require a card. Paid plans cost $16, $40 or $80 a month at the time of writing (October 2026), with 20% off for yearly billing. Check the Symphony pricing page for current prices.
What happens when I run out of Symphony credits?
Your agents pause until your credits renew or you move to a higher plan. Credits don't roll over from month to month, so it's worth checking usage regularly and choosing a plan that covers a normal month with some room to spare.
Can I use Symphony if my website isn't on Wix?
Yes. Symphony works for businesses on other platforms and for businesses without a website. You need a Wix account to sign in. Connecting a Wix business additionally lets Symphony see that business's sites and back office.
Can Symphony agents spend money on my behalf?
Yes, through Stripe Link's "Wallet for Agents," added in October 2026. You approve each purchase via WhatsApp or SMS within a 10-minute window, agents never see your card details, and the card is capped at the approved amount. It currently works only with US-based Link accounts and in US dollars.
What is the Maestro agent in Symphony?
Maestro is Symphony's central agent. It monitors activity across your business, decides what needs attention and assigns specialist agents to the work. You also chat with Maestro to connect tools and set up your agents.
